Thank you for always being there,
To listen and understand me.
I appreciate all you did for me,
And all you still do.

Thank you for making me feel whole again,
For putting my pieces back together.
I appreciate you putting my life back together,
You saved my life.

You may not understand,
Why I do what I do.
But you never criticized,
You just helped my through.

I knew I could come to you when I was down,
’cause I knew you’d always be there
to pick me back up
and say everything will be ok.

The dance this weekend was splendid. Everyone had so much fun and just went all out with themselves. Everyone dressed presentable and just had fun. The music was pretty good and the pictures were great. I wish we could all just do it all over again.

The most valuble part of L.A this year was writing the essays every week. It prepared us for the DSTP and gave us an experience so we could do well.

The most memorable part of L.A this year was when we all got on the podeum and did our poems. It was a very funny experience and helped us understand poetry more.

Th lesson that made me think was when we all had to write all the essays and letters in that packet and turn it in together. The accomplishment and proudest moment essay, along with the resume and letter of thanks.

Accomplishment Essay

An accomplishment I would like to tell is that I just recently got hired for a job, at the Midway McDonalds. I was hired on May 27, 2008 to work as a cashier.

Not only am I proud that I got the job, but I’m also excited about working with my mom. When I was interviewed for the job I was so nervous that, while I was filling out my papers, my hands were shaking and my voice trembled as I spoke. This will be my first job, since I just turned fourteen on May 22, 2008.

I am so excited to start my job. A bonus that comes with this job, is that one of my best friends is also hired with me! Even though my Mom doesn’t think we will get anything done together, I will hopefully prove her wrong. Now that I have this job, I plan on keeping it until I have a steady career, or until I am out of college.

Thank You Letter

Dear Shakeira,       I am just writing this letter to thank you for being, not only a great cousin, but one of my best friends. Every time I’m down you always lift me up and try to make me feel better. Even when I’m stubborn and don’t want to listen to anything, you somehow make me laugh.

We have shared good times together and bad times. Whenever I had a heavy weight on my shoulders I could always come and talk to you about it.

Sure we’ve bumped heads before, but that’s what friends do. We’ve disagreed on some things and had our times, but we will always stick together until the end.

Just Amazing!

Proudest Moment of My Life!

Most people have a moment in life when they feel on top of the world. Well, my time was when I was in the third and I got was given my first distinguished performance.

In 2003, one night I received a letter in the mail that had invited me to come Cape Henlopen high School for the distinguished performance award ceremony. About a week later the ceremony was held.

The person on the microphone called my name to be awarded for distinguished performance in reading and math. That was the moment of my life. Everybody was cheering and to me that was a big. I was in a school with the big kids receiving a huge award.

The next following two years I received the same award and they are all hanging on my wall today.
